Jonathan, after working in the travel industry for the early part of his career for market leaders Thomas Cook, moved into the property industry in 2007 and for several years looked after a large portfolio of UK investment properties for overseas Landlords & property investors after sourcing off-plan discounted properties from major property developers on behalf of his clients. This also involved sourcing, qualifying and monitoring letting and management agents across the country, ensuring his clients’ properties were in safe hands - always fully let at the best possible rental price, producing the highest achievable rental yields and maintained to the very highest of standards.
Howard, after graduating in Accounting & Finance at Manchester Metropolitan University in 1997, worked as an Accountant for several years in both Chartered practice and industry before transferring his skills into the property industry in 2001. Having been involved in his family’s rental property business from an early age, this was a natural move into an industry that he knew well and was most passionate about, despite having initially following an alternative career path. Over a period of 11 years he held senior Regional management positions for leading companies including Philip James, Hunters & LS1 Limited (the latter sold to Bridgfords Countrywide in 2012), and was responsible for looking after thousands of rental properties across the North West & Yorkshire, multiple rentals offices and large teams of rentals staff.
The Good Letting Agency was formed with the main purpose of offering Landlords & property investors with an honest, professional and reliable option when trusting a letting agency to look after their investment properties. Attention to detail, regular communication, thorough knowledge of the property market and only the highest levels of customer service are at the core of our beliefs. We aim to provide our valued customers with a stress free, pleasurable experience when dealing with our highly trained property professionals. One that they recommend to others, which to date has been one of our main reasons for growth.
From the continued success of our lettings operation, we formed The Good Estate Agency in 2014 initially to offer our investor Landlords the option of selling on their investment properties whilst still receiving the benefit of a Tenant and continued managed service from the same agency. This has since evolved into a full scale property sales department, now responsible for selling property for both private sellers and Landlords across the UK. As with lettings, our core values are always being focussed on our customers and providing the ongoing, frequent communication that is key to the successful sale of any property.
Mercury Quays, Saltaire
Our company’s proud roots are in Yorkshire, with our first office opening in 2012 in Jonathan & Howard’s hometown, Bradford. Situated in the stunning mill conversion, Mercury Quays, in the World Heritage site of Saltaire, we aimed to create the most pleasing, comfortable and enjoyable environment for both our customers and employees to be in. From there, we managed a growing portfolio of properties that spread across the North, North West and North East of England. After experiencing rapid growth, our operation over the last three years has seen us move to other cities including Leeds, the location of our Head Office, Manchester, and more recently our capital city, London. To meet the high expectations of our customers, we now have prestigious offices in Spinningfields Manchester, Wellington Place Leeds & Park Lane, Mayfair, London. Not only is it a pleasure for our customers to visit our offices, it gives them the perfect platform to market their properties.
